you know when we're touring around and going to different cities around the world i like to have walk-arounds see the town , try to absorb some kind of culture of what's going on around this so it's great to see all these places and meet people

i'd like to get back and see the wembley stadium gig we did in 2007 just that was for us playing on stage it was such an amazing experience but after we did that gig i did go like a little search around on youtube to go like see what it looked like the next day and it was an amazing footage the fans have taken from right in the crowd right in the moshpits we've started with kinghts of cydonia i think and just the whole vibe of what was going on in the audience there seemed like an amazing atmosphere and an amazing kind of energy electristic in stadium and particularly at that spot in front of stage so that kind of made me gullible and made me think it was a cool place to be so if i could go back in time i'd probably go there at wembley

quite easily i think with this huge production that i'm sitting in right now and this whole show in-stage we built for this show is gonna be it's
extremely kind of ambitious and i think more theatrical than anything we done before and we'll be doing some really cool kind of video stuff that
really interacts with the building i think we've never really done before so that's gonna be a whole different thing i think but also a bunch of new
songs the new album to play and stuff like that i think it's gonna be a complete different show but i think it's gonna be better in many ways

answer : i think we're gonna i think we'll do some touring i mean there's still so many places around the world that we haven't played yet, that we did played the last tour for the last album i think we'll be back out there doing some stuff i can't say where and when right now because we're only just really thinking about what we might gonna do next year but we'll be out doing something, for sure

answer : a couple years ago when RATM played reading festival euh i guess it was 2008 or 9 something like that and I was lucky enough to be like sight stage like right there watching them play like ten-foot away from tom morello and i had a couple of beers() and just fully regressed back to be a sixteen year old kid and i was just standing, pumping the fist in the air just like scream my head off, jumping up and down like moshing probably looking like an idiot to everyone else around me but i just loved it so much ! it just took me back to where i saw them in 1996 or something like that at reading festival

answer: we spend years in the early days playing in front of five or ten people in small pubs around devon and i think the first time we actually played to abig crowd is maybe a festival or something in the early days and that was there we realize what it was all about you know seeing people jumping up and down, singing along to the songs and that's something which gives you energy on stage as well you know the more energetic the crowd is the more energetic the band becomes so that's the most important thing about a gig is the crowd reaction and the feeling that you're kinda creating something that is giving on people a lot of pleasure

answer: the hardest past is that when you're touring there are a lot people surrounding you, doing stuff for you : food or washing your clothes and things like that and now i go home with the big dark suitcase and give it to my wife and tell her to wash it like "FUCK OFF ! " (xD)

answer: within this band were are collegues i guess in a sense but you know the band was based on friendship so it was a very difficult start but i think it's something we got over i think somethin that we i guess it is a role we kinda had to grow into quite quickly and it was a responsibility that we need to take own when we decided toproduce the album ourselves! it kinda worked out okay

answer : a lot of people buy me football shirts ! i've got a collection of different football shirts from different parts of the world usually the international team ! the country we're playing in usually gives football shirts

answer : i'd probably choose a (dites moi le nom si vous comprenez) i'd probably choose that but to be honest but if i had the choice i'd probably take a guitar with me actually, i've got a (guitar) at home and i'd probably take that over the bass just because you can play the guitar and have a sing-along it's very hard to get that creative with the bass sometimes so i'd probably take the guitar over the bass

Bon alors pour repondre a ta question, j'ai reussi a entendre le nom de sa basse, mais je suis pas sur "1972 Fender Jazz Bass"
Pour la guitare qu'il cite, j'entend un truc du genre "1959 Strat"

Je vais essayer de faire Matt mais franchement je promet rien parce que vu comment il parle vite et mal

How do you feel before coming on stage to play?
I Normally get a bit nervous about an hour before the gig, and then about 10 minutes before )It kind of convert it into a kind of adrenalin and then since you're just up on stage, you kind of convert it into the excitement. And So I think nervous energy is basically when adrenalin is inside your body but your is not quite ready for yet and it make you feel a bit sick but actually, it's just adrenalin And I think when you tour,like you get, you sort of learn that and you realise that, and then you start to quite enjoy that nervous feeling. In facts sometimes, the more nervous you are, the better you play. I think cause it make you really,kind of your body is getting really ready for everything you know...

What is your inspiration for the production on this tour?
We've got 2 productions going round the world, we've got the Arena Tour and then we got the Stadium Tour, and they're both inspired by the book 1984. The George Orwell's description of the ministries, being these buildings that the government use for doing that kind of secret elaborations, one is described as a kind of large pyramid structure, so that's kind of what we've rebuilt for the stadium concerts. We couldn't do that for the Arenas, we've kind of built these 3 buildings and the idea is that we're kind of trapped (piégé, coincés) inside these buildings, so we gradually escape to get out to where the audience are. It's kind of loosely (déliberement) based on the structures described in the book 1984.

What is your favourite song to play live?
Recently, It' has been Knights of Cydonia because it has always been the song that we played at the end of the set and it's probably the track that gets the crowd moshing the most (pogooo ^^) and get everybody kind of kicks off so I look forward that moment of the concert. (ahah il kiff nous voir faire des pogo si j'ai bien compris ^^)

Out of all the gigs you have played, what is the one venue you loved the most and why?
I've always loved The shepherd's Bush empire in London, I think it's greatest kind of small theatre to play in, cause it has great acoustics and great sound and everybody can see cause it has these tiered seating areas (gradins) , also the Nimes antic Arena, in France, it's a sort of old, a kind of turning (pas sure) Arena, that's an other amazing. Basically I love when we have people in circular tiers (gradins) all around you, I think basically they make the best acoustic and the best viewing point for the crowd (foule).

How did you handle (faire face) growing from a local band to a world famous one?
Take it has it comes, don't take it too seriously, don't take it any seriously really. I've always kind of just enjoyed it, as a kind of luck or a kind of bonus really. I just wanted to make living our music, so all the things hum the chance to travel around the world and everything which has been great fun, I think it's easy, some people can take a bit too seriously and just forget to enjoy themselves, you know, so but luckily we haven't done that.

What made you pick the name Muse for the band?
Hum Muse, hum, well we wanted a name that was kind of short and kind of little bit ambiguous so we didn't already quite know what is it. We were called Rocket baby Dolls before which is more like a kind of , sounds more like a kind of cheap Punk Rock which is exactly what we were actually at that time, but hum I think we wanted the name a bit more ambiguous so we chose Muse and it kind of seems like I can't believe that there was an other band with that name and it just seemed like an obvious band name to me so...

What's the best practical joke (practical joke = farce) you've played and how did the others get you back?
HAHA, This probably has to be Dom. Dom always falls asleep on the plane with his mouth open and he's been certainly eating all sort of things HAHA, anything fun, bananas, cigarettes butts (= mégots -dégueu le petit Matt xD), actually a lit cigar in hum actually not on the plane, that was in his sleep backstage as well, obviously not a lit cigar in a plane, But on the plane i'm sure i've put various finished life bits (périmés je crois)of fish and stuff in there. Just really old stuff. He gets me back just by beating me up basically. Simple as that HAHA
